Contemporary Craft’s Studio offers in-person and virtual craft classes and workshops in metals/jewelry making, wood, fiber, mixed media, book binding, and paper arts at every level from beginner-friendly to mastery.

We are thrilled to be offering another monthly virtual series for 2022! Join us the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 6:30-8:30pm for our VIRTUAL: Needle Felted Flower of the Month series of workshops presented in partnership with the Botanic Garden of Pittsburgh.

Loom Club

This coming fall we are thrilled to be adding weaving to our Fiber Studio offerings.  Thanks to the generosity of many individuals and organizations, Contemporary Craft has acquired seven floor and tabletop looms.  The looms are beautiful, though they all could use a little love to bring them to full working condition.  That is the first goal of Loom Club: we will get these seven looms in great working condition for weaving classes to begin this September!

Together, through the process, we will learn a lot about looms! So, after we reach our initial goal, we hope Loom Club will continue to meet and grow as a local resource for loom-enthusiasts and weavers.

Do you need to know anything about weaving or looms to join? No! Loom Club is open to all!

The next meeting of Loom Club will be Saturday, August 27, from 10am-4pm.  Drop in any time throughout the day if you are able.  We welcome anyone who is interested and invite you to come to the next meeting or email Allison at ajones@contemporarycraft.org with any questions.
