1) How would you describe your medium?

?Contrasting materials, whether in color, texture or commoditized value, arranged in ways to make distinct areas of focus and therefore directed preciousness.?

?

2) What themes seem to occur/reoccur in your work?

?Ideas of preciousness through material arrangements and symbolism. The use of enclosure, and framing of materials signifies value. In some work this is just about the aesthetics and design, in other works it becomes more about the symbolism of jewelry and externalizations of memory and sentiment.?

?3) Can you tell us a little about one of your favorite pieces that you’ve created?

?I also work in large-scale sculpture, one of my recent pieces is a large string of pearls, which were intended to frame or encircle a specific significant site. This work comes from my ideas of encapsulation to direct ones understanding of an objects significance. In this case the necklace symbolizes the sentimental associations with jewelry and the land it’s set on gains preciousness through this arrangement.?
