Contemporary Craft is honored to be part of the 52nd annual Carnegie Trees display this year. ?Organized by the museum’s Women’s Committee, this festive arrangement of five 20-foot trees is one of Pittsburgh’s most beloved holiday traditions. ?
In honor of the Carnegie International, the 2013 theme is The Art of Play. ?At SCC, we combed through our permanent collection and worked with several artists to come up with an “I Spy” tree. ?Featuring a wide variety of handmade ornaments and decorations, visitors are prompted to search for individual items nestled into the evergreen branches.
We would like to extend special thanks to the following for their help?bringing the ?Let?s Play I Spy!? tree to life: Atticus Adams, Toby Fraley,Cindy Luna, David Edgar, Gerry Florida, Cheryl Capezzuti, Boris Bally,Marianne Wakerlin, Amanda Gross with Knit the Bridge, and of course our?gracious hosts, the Women?s Committee.
