Keiko Fukazawa (b. 1955, Niigata, Japan) lives and works in Pasadena, CA. Fukazawa received her BFA in Painting from Musashino Art University in Tokyo, Japan and MFA in Ceramics from Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, CA in 1986. Fukazawa has recently retired as an associate professor and head of the ceramic department at Pasadena City College.Â
Fukazawa’s work has been widely exhibited at galleries and museums in both the US and International venues, including The George R. Gardiner Museum of Ceramic Art in Toronto, Canada; Los Angeles County Museum of Art; American Craft Museum in New York; and Arlington Museum of Art in Texas. Fukazawa’s art has also been widely awarded, including receiving the 2015 Artist in Residency Grant from the Asian Cultural Council in New York City and 2019 Fellows of Contemporary Art Fellowship Award program in Los Angeles.Â
