Embracing the depths of human emotion, Hereafter delves into profound themes of grieving, mourning, and the celebration of life. Across the world, manifestations of mourning can take many forms, and the journey through those emotions and processes may invoke elaborate rituals or simple rites, religious or otherwise.Â
Craft objects have long been a vehicle for processing and understanding, and the act of creative expression itself can become an instrument for healing. Through the unique perspectives of 13 artists featured in Hereafter, this exhibition transcends individual experiences, to create a rich tapestry of cultural and ancestral connections, bringing forth an authentic portrayal of the grieving process. Each artwork becomes a poignant vessel, carrying the weight of emotions and memories.
These intimate reflections serve as a powerful testament to the resilience of the human spirit. Hereafter aims to jointly guide us through this emotional journey, inviting introspection and empathy. In this shared space of reflection, Hereafter becomes a sanctuary for communal healing and understanding.Â
