Founded in 2015, the Allegheny Metal Collective (AMC) is a Pittsburgh based group dedicated to exhibiting together and sharing knowledge through demonstrations and lectures. The members include traditional metalsmiths, fine jewelers, enamelists, and mixed media artists. AMC has close to 100 members and meets monthly at Contemporary Craft. “Coming together as colleagues in the field, the collective is an environment for members to share techniques, participate in informal critique, and build community,” said Katie Rearick, the Collective’s founder.
To celebrate its tenth year as a collective, participating members have created a cohesive exhibition that showcases their distinct artistic voices. This exhibition reflects the rich diversity of techniques, materials, and ideas that define AMC.
