Torch-fired Metal Clay Lentil Beads with Donna Penoyer

All-Day Workshop
Date: Saturday, February 28th
Time: 10am-5pm
Description: Learn how to fire fine silver metal clay at home, without a kiln! Gain the basics of rolling, texturing, and forming metal clay, while making a hollow lentil bead suitable as a necklace focal point. After refining their dry bead, each student will fire their piece with a simple butane torch, with individual direction from the instructor. Polishing and applying patina will also be covered. Students can expect to complete one hollow lentil bead from start to finish, including torch firing and polishing/patina. No Experience Needed!
Tuition: $105 + $60 materials fee

Cancellations and Refunds: Workshop cancellations are decided three business days before the start date. If workshops must be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, the entire class fee will be refunded through Eventbrite, or you may leave your workshop fee in your Contemporary Craft account for future workshops.
Refund Policy: Student refund requests must be made at least three business days before a class begins. There will be a $25 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given without three-business days notice. Processing of refunds takes approximately three weeks.

About the Artist
Donna Penoyer is a master metal clay instructor who has been working in the medium since 2005. She has taught workshops throughout the U.S., England, and Belgium and has created a number of video tutorials available through craftcast.com. Although she developed a spirited, over-the-top, 21-year career as a professional stiltwalker, these days Donna is pretty down-to-earth. She is a welcoming teacher who believes there is a gleeful maker in everyone.
