About the Artist
A Pittsburgh native, Elizabeth grew up exploring various forms of art and has always had a lifelong love for creating. Glass has become the central theme for her work. She trained with Luciana Notturni, a mosaic master in Ravenna Italy, gaining knowledge in the ancient art of mosaics. Her creations vary in scale from small pendants to the restoration of the large mosaic inlays of the Union Trust Building. Between those extremes she creates freestanding sculptures, furniture inlays, residential/commercial installations, window installations, and more. She enjoys the melding of metal, such as bike parts, and mosaic images. Elizabeth is always looking for new ways to bring art into people’s lives and does so mostly through creating individually designed mosaic pieces for businesses or for the home. She has explored versatile subject matter, but the love of outdoors, animals, and bicycling form dominant themes.
