
Spring Floral Design with Soren Soto

3-Hour Workshop
Date: Saturday, April 19
Time: 10am-1pm
Description: Design a floral arrangement inspired by the colors and textures of spring. In this guided class students will create an arrangement while learning basic floristry skills. The finished design will make the perfect decor for Easter, Earth day, or any celebration of spring. This class is for all levels and is designed to be fun and informative for everyone.
Techniques and Skills covered in this class will include:
– Introduction to design materials and their uses
– Flower care and handling
– Designing with branches
– Creating armatures for foam free design
Note: The Arrangement created in class will be similar in color, style, and size to the photo. Exact flower types and materials used may vary based on availability.
Tuition: $65 + $68 materials fee
Materials: All materials will be provided
Location: Contemporary Craft (5645 Butler St., Pittsburgh, PA 15201)
Cancellations and Refunds: Workshop cancellations are decided three business days before the start date. If workshops must be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, the entire class fee will be refunded through Eventbrite, or you may leave your workshop fee in your Contemporary Craft account for future workshops.
Refund Policy: Student refund requests must be made at least three business days before a class begins. There will be a $25 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given without three-business days notice. Processing of refunds takes approximately three weeks.

About the Artist
Soren Soto is an artist, FDI certified floral designer, and business owner in Pittsburgh,PA. He is originally from the Detroit area where he spent nearly a decade as a curator and exhibiting artist. After moving to Pittsburgh, he began working in the floral industry where he became fascinated by the profound roles that flowers have in our everyday live
In 2023 he opened Galleria Botanica, a Pittsburgh-based floral studio focused on a curatorial, fine arts approach to floral design. He now offers workshops for others who are interested in learning floristry techniques and finding the joys of creating botanical works of art.
