Pyrography and Watercolor with Bethany Barbis

3-Hour Workshop
Date: Saturday, June 21, 2025
Time: 10am-1pm
Description: In this workshop, we’ll dive into the art of pyrography – learning how to safely and effectively use wood burning tools, explore basic techniques, and create designs with depth and texture. Once we’ve burned our designs, we’ll take it a step further and bring them to life with watercolor paints. You’ll leave with at least one finished piece (and maybe a couple extras), plus the skills and inspiration to keep creating. This class is perfect for beginners nad experienced burners alike.
Tuition: $65 + $20 materials fee
Materials: All materials will be provided

Cancellations and Refunds: Workshop cancellations are decided three business days before the start date. If workshops must be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, the entire class fee will be refunded through Eventbrite, or you may leave your workshop fee in your Contemporary Craft account for future workshops.
Refund Policy: Student refund requests must be made at least three business days before a class begins. There will be a $25 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given without three-business days notice. Processing of refunds takes approximately three weeks.

About the Artist
Beth is a local artist with a deep love for watercolor and mixed media. With a background in illustration and a degree in Media Arts, her creative journey has taken her through a wide range of mediums – from acrylic and ink to origami and digital art. These days, she focuses on combining watercolor with pyrography, creating vibrant wood burned pieces that celebrate the beauty of layered techniques. She believes art is for everyone and loves helping others feel confident and inspired in their creative process.
