This year, we celebrate the eleventh in the Elizabeth R. Raphael Founder’s Prize Exhibition Series entitled Transformation. Rotating through a material focus in wood, small metals, ceramics, found materials, and glass, this internationally recognized juried exhibition showcases the contributions of emerging and established artists in the field of contemporary craft.

Like the first Transformation exhibition in 1997, this year we revisit the medium of glass, highlighting its physical and conceptual qualities – that of weight, fragility, transparency, and refinement. The 16 artists on display explore a variety of approaches to the medium itself, while considering the theme of transformation.
