Felted “Painting” with Alyssa Kail
December 16 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Date: Saturday, December 16, 2023
Description: In this workshop, students will learn a felting technique known as nuno felting. We will incorporate pre-dyed pieces of silk organza into felted textiles using only warm, soapy water and our hands to create colorful abstract “paintings”. This technique can provide a lot of room for creativity, and each piece will be unique to the student’s color preferences and design choices. Students will leave with a 9”x12” mounted felt art piece, ready to hang on their wall at home.
Tuition: $95 + $20 materials fee
Materials: All materials will be provided.
Location: Contemporary Craft (5645 Butler St., Pittsburgh, PA 15201)
Cancellations and Refunds: Workshop cancellations are decided three business days before the start date. If workshops must be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, the entire class fee will be refunded through Eventbrite, or you may leave your workshop fee in your Contemporary Craft account for future workshops.
Refund Policy: Student refund requests must be made at least three business days before a class begins. There will be a $25 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given without three-business days notice. Processing of refunds takes approximately three weeks.
