Enameling Series with Joe Pillari

8-Part Series Workshop
Date: Thursdays, March 3-April 21, 2022
Time: 6pm-9pm
Description: Designed for both beginner and more advanced enameling students, this series of classes will cover many different enameling techniques. Beginning with the basic application of enamel and the different uses for opaque and transparent enamels, students will expand their knowledge into more advanced areas like cloissone, champleve, and plique a ‘jour with explorations of applying enamel to curved surfaces and the treatment of enameled objects in jewelry.
Tuition: $265 + $40 materials fee
Materials: All materials will be provided

Cancellations and Refunds: Workshop cancellations are decided three business days before the start date. If workshops must be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, the entire class fee will be refunded by check, to your credit card, or Contemporary Craft account for future workshops.
Refund Policy: Student refund requests must be made at least three business days before a class begins. There will be a $25 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given without three-business days notice. Processing of refunds takes approximately three weeks.

About the Artist
Joe Pillari is an artist and metalsmith specializing in painted enamel jewelry. He studied at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. His work has been included in several major exhibitions and is included in collections such as the Newark Museum-Newark, NJ, LACMA Los Angeles, Ca, and the State Hermitage Museum, St. Petersburg Russia. He’s been teaching metals/jewelry and enameling since 2009, including full semester Continuing Education classes and workshops and high school and undergraduate classes.
