3-Hour Crafts & Drafts Workshop

Date: Friday, July 7, 2023

Time: 6pm-9pm

Description: In this workshop, students will learn how to felt wool around wire to create sturdy and interesting shapes for jewelry. If you’ve ever made “snakes” or coils with clay, you can do this. There will be a selection of colors of pre-dyed wool to choose from as well as the parts needed to make earrings, a necklace, or a keychain. Students will leave with at least one pair of earrings, a necklace, or a keychain that will wow their friends and strangers on the street!

Tuition: $40

Materials: All materials are included!

Crafts & Drafts: Participants must be 21 years of age or older. Beer and lights snacks will be provided.

Location: Contemporary Craft (5645 Butler St., Pittsburgh, PA 15201)

Cancellations and Refunds: Workshop cancellations are decided three business days before the start date. If workshops must be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, the entire class fee will be refunded by check, to your credit card, or Contemporary Craft account for future workshops.

Refund Policy: Student refund requests must be made at least three business days before a class begins. There will be a $25 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given without three-business days notice. Processing of refunds takes approximately three weeks.

About the Artist

Alyssa Kail likes animals, color, and salty snacks. She also is an artist who primarily works with fiber and is one half of the dynamic duo known as Camp Copeland Studio. Alyssa earned an MFA in Applied Craft + Design from Pacific Northwest College of Art and Oregon College of Art & Craft in Portland, OR, and a BA in Environmental Studies from the University of Pittsburgh. She currently resides in Braddock, PA with her husband Drew and two cats, Lilly and Momo.
