Meet Boston-based ceramic artist Nicole Aquillano, our 2014 Summer Artist-in-Residence! You may remember Nicole from last year’s CRAFTED event where she won Viewer’s Choice for her Pittsburgh-inspired ceramic tumblers. Born and bred in southwestern PA, Nicole draws inspiration from the built environment and specializes in delicately drawn images of buildings, bridges, and interiors on her functional porcelain tableware. This summer she’ll be focusing on the historic charm of the Strip District and creating an exclusive line for the SCC Store. ?
