The Space Between

February 8 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Free
The Space Between at Contemporary Craft.
Gentrification is a complex and current issue that affects communities and social capital on a historical and cultural level. In conjunction with Contemporary Craft’s (CC) social justice art exhibition – Shelter: Crafting a Safe Home, CC invites local cultural producers – Justin Strong and Aaron Regal to participate in The Space Between on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 6 PM.

A salon-style speaker series, The Space Between, joins together fascinating local cultural producers in an evening of inspiring discussion. The event will focus on building a stronger community through art and intends to activate conversations on the topics surrounding the need for safe and secure housing. The speakers will engage the attendees in discussions through reflections on their personal journeys and on CC’s current exhibition – Shelter: Crafting a Safe Home.

This event is free and open to the public at CC’s Strip District gallery; attendees are invited to arrive early to experience the exhibition before the event. RSVP is encouraged!

  • Aaron Regal, an activist, photographer, and interdisciplinary artist native to Pittsburgh
