HOW DOES A FAMILY LOSE THEIR HOME?

Natural Disaster. Job loss. Medical expenses. Rent hike. Addiction.

Without warning, many of us could face homelessness due to circumstances beyond our control,
trying to care for ourselves and our families in temporary shelters or abandoned buildings. We
explore what happens when the basic human right of safe housing becomes out of reach in the
socially engaged art experience – Shelter: Crafting a Safe Home, on exhibit through February 17, 2018.

Where we see the handmade cardboard plea for help in a homeless person’s hands, Shelter
featured artist ROY feels the indifference of those who pass by … and pours her emotions and
insights into her art.

HOW TO WIN:

We’ll announce the winner on Oct. 24.
